Position: Farm Worker
Location: 1217 Hwy 3AKeremeos, BC V0X 1N4
Job Type: Seasonal/Full-time

Responsibilities:

Crop Maintenance: Apply fertilizers, hoe between crop rows, and clear fields of debris.
Harvesting & Sorting: Hand-harvest vegetables, divide fresh produce into marketable and non-marketable lots, and grade produce by quality.
Planting & Irrigation: Plant, cultivate, and water crops, ensuring optimal growth conditions.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, seeders, and harvesters.
Disease & Health Monitoring: Identify crop diseases and assess produce for quality and market readiness.
Packing & Sorting: Sort and package fruits and vegetables according to size, color, and grade for distribution.

Environment & Physical Demands:

• Outdoor work in diverse conditions (heights, wet/damp, dusty, and hot).
• Physically demanding tasks including bending, crouching, lifting heavy loads, and long hours of standing and walking.

Qualifications:

Experience: 2 to 3 years of farm work experience preferred.
Education: No formal education Required.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and team collaboration.
